2D Stop Motion with Sound

Today I worked on 2D stop motion. For this project, we had to either draw, create, or cut out 2D photos of anything you wanted and then create a 2D animation out of it. I did a 2D animation of famous basketball player Lebron James dunking a basketball. We also had to add sound to the animation. The programs I used were the stop motion app and Open shot. The biggest challenge i had is making sure the pictures of my stop motion were correct and didn't look off or wonky. I fixed this by making sure my camera was on a supportive object so then I didn't have to worry about making my pictures look off. the most successful part of the project was the editing process. I didn't have any struggles or problems with this part of the project. The final assignment is successful because a lot of detail went into creating the piece and editing aswell. if I did the assignment again I would add more components and pictures. If I continued on this project I would make it longer.

Stop Motion with Sound

For the past couple of days, I have been working on adding sound to stop motion video. my goal was to take an object of your choice, make a story out of it and then add sound to that video to give it life. I used a program called open shot and an app called stop motion to help me create this piece. some challenges I had were trying to add the sound to the video in the editing process and exporting the video to my blog. I solved these challenges with some assistance from my teacher. the most successful part of the project was taking the shots of my video. As you can see above I took around 150 shots of the toy car in different positions. the final assignment I think is successful because I made sure to add little details into the video. if I did the assignment again I would make it longer to 30 seconds or even a minute. if I continued to work on this project I would add more time to the video and add more components.

Piskel assignment

Image
today I needed to create a small animation or gif. the programs I used were piskel which is an animation program and my laptop. a challenge I had with this project was trying to create the movement in the animation, I solved it by adding frames to make the object move. the part of the project which was more successful than others was the editing part of the animation, I think this because I found it easy to edit the animation and got past this process faster than the others. I think the final assignment is successful because I put a lot of effort into it. if I did this assignment again I would add more detail and moving parts. if I continued this project I would make it longer and add more detail to it such as another ball.

Word Cloud assignment

Image
today I had to create a personal word cloud using words that describe and mean a lot to me. The programs I used were Gimp and my laptop. A challenge I had with this project was editing the font, font size, and color of the words. I solved this by spending more time on them and using different word fonts and colors for each word. The successful part of the project was finding the words that were personal to me, I found this easier to complete than the other parts. I think the final project was successful, I put a lot of effort and hard work into this piece and tried to make a unique design out of the words. if I did the assignment again I would use more words and have a different background color. if I continued this project I would add more words and information to this piece

Comics and Me assignment

Image
The past 3 days I've been working on this image manipulation piece, this was my first time doing something like this. my task was I needed to combine at least 3 images to create a new one, with me interacting with a character from comics. then I needed to adjust and change the photos in gimp. Save and upload to my blog. the equipment I used for this assignment was my computer and the gimp software. I worked alone on this assignment. A challenge I had with this assignment is I erased the background of one image and then when I tried to move it to combine it with the other images its background was still there. so to solve the problem I had to add an alpha channel to the image so it could erase the background properly. The most successful part of the project was editing the photos part, I didn't have any challenges with this process. the final assignment was successful because I felt like I did my best and even though I had some challenges I got passed them. if I could do the a...

Henri Cartier-Bresson Place de l'Europe

Image
Henri Cartier-Bresson. Place de l'Europe. Leica rangefinder camera. Saint Lazare station, Paris, France. 1932 I know that this photo is an action photo, I don’t know too much about the photo but it’s a very interesting photo. It looks like a man about to walk on a puddle or a body of water in a town. It looks almost like he is about to run on water. I also see that he just stepped off a ladder or some floating object in the water. And the man in the background looks like he is watching something out of this world.  1.       What interests me about the photograph is how the photographer got the perfect photo of the man about to touch the water, it looks like he was just about to start running on it, and makes me imagine a man running on water. I am also interested in the scenery of the photo.  1.       What I see in the photo is a man about to run on a puddle or body of water. It looks like to me he is running on a mirror...

Depth of Field Project

Image
Today my project was to work on the depth of field, I needed to take photos of objects in different depths of field. I used my phone as my camera, my laptop to edit and upload my photos, the mail app to send my photos to my laptop, and gimp to edit my photos and export them. I worked independently on this project. One challenge I encountered along the way was finding the perfect depths of field, this took a long time and was the longest process in the project. it took some time but I did solve them by taking multiple photos from different angles and changing the focus on my camera. The most successful process was the editing process, since I have been editing a lot the past couple of days my editing skills have gotten better and it takes less time to edit efficiently. The final project was successful as I did lots of photos in different areas and angles. If I did this project again I would take more photos in different locations like at a museum or park. If I continued to work on...

B&W and Color Assignment

Image
Today and yesterday, I did an assignment where you needed to take 2-3 photos in black and white, and in color. You had the opportunity to take photos of anything you wanted. As you see above, I took three pictures in black and white, and three pictures in color. I choose to do those three photos in color as they give out more emotions, color, and feelings to the viewer of the photos. The programs and apps I used were my iPhone 11 which I used as my camera, the mail app on my phone to transfer the photos to my computer, I used my outlook program on my computer to receive and save the pictures. To edit and export the photos I used the photo editing software Gimp as well another software called “paint” to fix any mistakes to my photos and to share my photos I used my online blog on google. For this project, I worked alone as it was an independent project, my responsibilities for this project were to take photos of things you like, were fascinated by, or anything. Then I had to send ...

My shoes Assignment

Image
The past day or so I was given a task to take multiple pictures of my shoes, the camera I used was my iPhone 11. Then I had to choose one picture that I liked the most out of all the pictures I took. After I picked the picture, I liked the most, I had to edit the picture through a free photoshop software called Gimp. I used Gimp on my laptop and I had to scale the picture, change the height of the picture, and change the resolution to make sure the picture I choose was the best quality possible. For this assignment I worked alone, as it was an independent assignment, my responsibilities were to take multiple pictures of your everyday shoes, then to take a photo you liked to most, and then edit and post the photo to your online blog. There were some challenges that I had encountered along the way. For example, one of them was trying to find the picture I liked the best, it was quite difficult because most pictures looked very similar to one another but the picture I choose had the...
